Even if they have exceptional ageing potential, we recommend tasting Sauternes from their earliest youth.
They do not have tannic astringency and their aromatic complexity is therefore fabulous!

The Château Margaux opens the doors of its wine cellars to you!

31 vintages of Grand Vin (from 1981 to 2014) and 20 vintages of Pavillon Rouge (from 1982 to 2014) are available. A unique opportunity to have access to bottles in a perfect state of preservation, optimally stored up to now in the cellars of the Château.

For the record, the Revue du Vin de France reported in April 2016 a blind tasting of the 5 “1er grands crus classés” (Lafite, Mouton, Latour, Margaux, Haut-Brion) and 7 challengers of the left bank (Ducru-Beaucaillou, Léoville-Las Cases, Mission Haut-Brion, Montrose, Palmer, Pichon-Baron, Pichon-Lalande) in 4 vintages: 2010, 2001, 1996 et 1989.

Château Margaux came out in the lead, with an average score of 17,8/20.
