In 1994, Michel Tardieu began selecting and maturing wines from very old vines and from the best terroirs, following the precepts of his friend Dominique Laurent. While Laurent is known for the concentration of his Burgundy wines, Tardieu has, due to the innate power of Rhone Valley wines, sought to favor elegance and aromatic complexity in his selections. In addition, the luxurious maturation in high quality barrels is a perfect match for the wines of this region.
