Contiguous to Mouton-Rothschild, Pontet-Canet is in good vintages the very type of great Pauillac, straight and racy. The first of the Grands Crus Classés to be certified "organic" (in 2010), Pontet-Canet has been at the top of the Médoc since 2000.
Revue du Vin de France : 95-96/100 « Le millésime a engendré un vin digeste, de très grand raffinement. Il affiche un fruit juteux et vif, et déroule une bouche très suave et des tanins de belle définition. Un vin crémeux, long en bouche et surtout de bel éclat. »

Dupont (Le Point) : 17/20 « Milieu de bouche onctueux, crémeux, finale serrée. »
Galloni (Vinous) : 93-95/100 « The 2021 is the most classically Pauillac Pontet-Canet I have tasted in modern times. Medium in body, with striking aromatic presence, the 2021 screams with character. »
Martin (Vinous) : 91-93/100 « The palate is medium-bodied with a pinch of white pepper on the entry and gentle grip. »
