On a magnificent gravelly hillock that has nothing to envy that of its neighbour Montrose, Meyney (Crédit Agricole property) is a serious candidate for the title of best Médoc bourgeois cru in each vintage. Long, complex, refined, distinguished tannins: a great Médoc cut for long ageing. Recommended by Mr. De Boüard (Angelus) from the 2014 vintage.

Bettane & Desseauve : 93/100 « Grande couleur, grand nez épicé et évidemment grand avenir. Prix probable attractif comme toujours avec ce cru qui ne déçoit jamais. »
Le Point : 17,5/20 ♥ Favourite « Nez floral, bouche ample, tanins veloutés, un style beaucoup plus caressant qu'autrefois. »
Quarin : 93/100 « Nez très aromatique, au fruité frais, mûr et subtil. Moelleux en entrée de bouche, parfumé au milieu, avec un corps fondant, le vin évolue juteux, profond et long, sur des tannins présents, mais enrobés et sans granulation. De jolis arômes reviennent derrière lui. »
Galloni : 90-92/100 « The 2022 Meyney is very exotic in this vintage. Super-ripe red cherry, kirsch, orange peel, mint, sweet spice and rose petal give the 2022 striking inner perfume. I can't remember tasting a Meyney quite like this. »
Martin : 91-93/100 « The palate is medium-bodied with a structured opening. A 'solid' Saint-Estèphe, quite taut and linear. »
