Even if they have exceptional ageing potential, we recommend tasting Sauternes from their earliest youth.
They do not have tannic astringency and their aromatic complexity is therefore fabulous!

Catalog Spring-Summer
2020

The logo distinguishes wines that, to our knowledge, do not use synthetic phytosanitary products and have a responsible environmental approach without displaying the European organic label on their labels.

These may include wines in the process of official organic conversion, in private certification (Nature et Progrès, Bio Cohérence...), in biodynamics (Demeter, Biodyvin) or wines that have decided not to display their certification.

Since 2010, Claire Villars (also in Ferrière and La Gurgue), puts back in the saddle Haut-Bages Liberal. With a qualitative terroir (contiguous to Latour), this Classified Growth in the process of organic conversion has become, for a reasonable price, Pauillac's bargain.

Contiguous to Mouton-Rothschild, Pontet-Canet is in good vintages the very type of great Pauillac, straight and racy. The first of the Grands Crus Classés to be certified "organic" (in 2010), Pontet-Canet has been at the top of the Médoc since 2000.

The 2016 after bottling has obtained the perfect score 20/20 for the Revue du Vin de France "If the 2015 is huge, the 2016 seems capable of going even further. An energetic and interminable wine". While the 2017, following in the footsteps of 2016, was rated 19/20 "The vintage still signs a wine of truly remarkable intensity".

93/100 in Wine Advocate and best score (18/20) of Pauillac for La Revue du Vin de France (who has just given a beautiful 17.5 / 20 in 2006, 10 years after tasted "very beautiful subtle lie").

An oenologist by training, Ms. Papon-Nouvel owns two tiny properties at the bottom of Saint-Émilion near Canon-La Gaffelière: Petit Gravet Aîné (2.4 ha) and Clos Saint-Julien (1.3 ha), where the vines are mainly old cabernets francs. From the vine to the cellar, she manages all the stages in the production of her wines on her own and, whatever the vintage, her talent as an instinctive winemaker gives wines of natural elegance and exemplary sweetness.

Mrs Papon-Nouvel's other grand cru (with Petit Gravet Aîné). Same organic culture, same sensitivity, same style, with extra flesh and depth. Great wine!

The 2012, rated 92-94/100 by Wine Advocate, is absolutely delicious. Congratulations!
