In 1994, Michel Tardieu began selecting and maturing wines from very old vines and from the best terroirs, following the precepts of his friend Dominique Laurent. While Laurent is known for the concentration of his Burgundy wines, Tardieu has, due to the innate power of Rhone Valley wines, sought to favor elegance and aromatic complexity in his selections. In addition, the luxurious maturation in high quality barrels is a perfect match for the wines of this region.

Promoted two stars in the 2020 guide Revue du Vin de France.

In addition to his classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Michel Tardieu produces a cuvée Vieilles Vignes, a blend of grenache (80%, 80 to over 100 years), mourvèdre (10%, 60 to 80 years) and syrah (10%, 50 years), more tense and spicier (pepper, clove, laurel), an interminable finish, a wine of great style and long ageing potential.

Terroirs : La Crau, Les Gardioles, La Janasse, Coste Froide, Bois Dauphin
Varieties (age of vines) : 80% grenache (80 to more than 100 years), 10% syrah (50 years), 10% mourvèdre (60 to 80 years)

Varieties (age of vines) : 99% grenache (more than 100 years), 1% others

Amazing story as that of Dominio de Pingus. Created in 1995 by Peter Sisseck, a Danish (!), this estate a few kilometres from Vega Sicilia has become a cult in less than 15 years.

Flor de Pingus is the second wine, coming from the Dominio de Pingus and neighbouring parcels acquired by fermage, 100% tempranillo aged 50 years, biodynamic since 2005. 4000 cases produced per year.
