Family property of the Dubourdieu family. Always very bouquety and expressive, round with buttered notes, perfect to accompany a cheese platter.

    Bettane & Desseauve : 93-94/100
Revue du Vin de France :
    Dupont (Le Point) :
Martin (Vinous) : 90-92/100 « The 2019 Grand Vin Sec from Doisy-Daëne has a lovely peachy, yellow plum and almond scented bouquet that displays superb intensity. [...] Very promising. »

The dry white wine of Lagrange, in a precise and pleasant style. As always in Lagrange, the quality/price ratio is there!

    Bettane & Desseauve :
Revue du Vin de France :
    Dupont (Le Point) :
Martin (Vinous) : 89/100 « The 2019 Les Arums de Lagrange, the white cuvée from the Saint-Julien estate, offers attractive lime and yellow flower scents, a touch of almond in the background. The palate is nicely balanced with a dab of lemongrass on the entry. Moderate weight with discrete tropical notes sing from the wings on the finish. »

Doisy-Daëne is never the sweetest wine in its sector, but it always has an unparalleled aromatic expression and refinement. A pure Barsac, brilliantly orchestrated by Denis Dubourdieu (deceased in 2016).

    Bettane & Desseauve : 96/100
Grande longueur. Du beau travail. »
Galloni (Vinous) : 93-95/100 « Rich and yet also wonderfully light on its feet, the 2019 is hauntingly beautiful and impeccable in its balance. »
Martin (Vinous) : 94-96/100 « The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine line of acidity, taut and fresh with a weightlessness on the finish that contradicts its intensity.  »

    Bettane & Desseauve :
Revue du Vin de France :
    Dupont (Le Point) :
Martin (Vinous) : 91-93/100 « The 2019 Reynon, the Cadillac Côte de Bordeaux owned by the Dubourdieu family, has upfront blackberry, mulberry, camphor and blood orange scents on the intense nose. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, very harmonious with a gorgeous, velvety smooth finish. What a superb Reynon. »

Puyguéraud is the reference in the Côtes de Francs, producing very high quality wines with great regularity. The owner and oenologist, Nicolas Thienpont, also takes care of Pavie-Macquin, Beauséjour-Duffau, Larcis-Ducasse and Berliquet in St-Émilion. Always impeccable price/quality ratio.

    Bettane & Desseauve :
Revue du Vin de France :
    Dupont (Le Point) :
Galloni (Vinous) : 89-91/100 « The 2019 Puygueraud is a powerful, rich wine. Rich and pliant, with good structure, the 2019 has quite a bit to offer, but it is also a touch awkward right now. »
Martin (Vinous) : 89-91/100 « The 2019 Puygueraud is a powerful, rich wine. Black cherry jam, plum, licorice, spice and a kick of sweet oak race across the palate. Rich and pliant, with good structure, the 2019 has quite a bit to offer. »

Les Trois Croix is the personal property of Mr. Léon, who was technical director of Mouton-Rothschild for more than 20 years. He is dedicated to producing straightforward, digestible Fronsacs, among the most elegant and distinguished in the sector. The dresses are not the darkest but the power and harmony are there. In confidence!

    Bettane & Desseauve : 90-91/100
Revue du Vin de France :
    Dupont (Le Point) :
Galloni (Vinous) : 88-90/100 « The 2019 Les Trois Croix is pliant, racy and super-expressive. Juicy, sweet red cherry and red plum fruit gives the 2019 plenty of immediacy »
Martin (Vinous) : 92-94/100 « The 2019 Les Trois Croix has a perfumed and floral bouquet with wilted rose petal infusing the blue fruit. The palate is well balanced with supple tannins that disguise the backbone of this excellent Fronsac. »

80% Merlot, La Chenade is the almost second wine of the Cruzelles. Designed and conceived by Mr. Durantou (Église-Clinet), this is one of the best quality/price ratios on the entire right bank. In confidence!

    Bettane & Desseauve :
Revue du Vin de France :
    Dupont (Le Point) :
Galloni (Vinous) : 91-93/100 « The 2019 La Chenade is plump and voluptuous in the glass, with terrific fruit presence and tons of pure character. [...] Denis Durantou and his team coaxed an unreal level of finesse in 2019. »
Martin (Vinous) : 91-93/100 « Unlike Durantou's fellow Lalande-de-Pomerol, this is predominantly red fruit rather than black with exuberant raspberry and cranberry, almost pastille-like. The palate is extremely well balanced, maybe with a bit more structure and weight than Les Cruzelles. [...] Wonderful, as usual. »

Since its acquisition in 1998 by Mr. De Neipperg (Clos de l'Oratoire, Canon-La Gaffelière, La Mondotte), d'Aiguilhe has been part of the new generation of very ambitious wines that bring the appellation of the Côtes de Castillon to a new level.

    Bettane & Desseauve :
Revue du Vin de France :
    Dupont (Le Point) :
Galloni (Vinous) : 88-90/100 « The 2019 d'Aiguilhe is classy and understated to the core. [...] Quite surprisingly for the year, d'Aiguilhe is pretty tightly wound and in no mood to show all of its cards. Even so, there is good depth and plenty of promise. »
Martin (Vinous) : 91-93/100 « The palate has a spring in its step with fresh red berry fruit, cedar, mint and a citric twist right on the finish. What a delicious d'Aiguilhe, even if I still cannot pronounce its name. »

In the same family since 1609 (!), Moulin Haut-Laroque offers a disciplined Fronsac: ripe and rich without excess, softened by the sweetness of its Merlot (65%) and by a judicious breeding. A sure value of the appellation.

    Remarkable success in 2016.

    Bettane & Desseauve :
Revue du Vin de France :
    Dupont (Le Point) :
Galloni (Vinous) : 89-91/100 « The 2019 Moulin Haut-Laroque is a dark, sumptuous beauty. Blackberry jam, chocolate, licorice, spice and new leather all build effortlessly in the glass. The 2019 is unctuous and dense, not to mention incredibly appealing. »
Martin (Vinous) : 89-91/100 « The palate is well balanced with supple tannins, not amazingly complex but fresh with a lovely liquorice-tinged finish that lingers nicely. Promising. »

Beautiful vineyard of 10 ha (90% Merlot) in Fronsac, where the owner, Mrs. Rullier, invests herself without counting. We find his energy in Dalem, with wines, full and assertive but also endowed with a real elegance.

    Bettane & Desseauve : 92-93/100
Revue du Vin de France :
    Dupont (Le Point) :
Galloni (Vinous) : 90-92/100 « The 2019 Dalem is a racy, sumptuous wine with no hard edges, tons of fruit density and impeccable balance. [...] The 2019 is impressive. Its as simple as that. »
Martin (Vinous) : 93-95/100 « The palate is well balanced with supple tannins, pin-point acidity and a harmonious, satin-textured finish that is pure delight. One of the best Dalems ever produced. Bravo. »
