Thanks to a new vat room, Haut-Batailley has gained in character since 2005, while remaining nevertheless an elegant and refined Pauillac with a discreet woodiness. Always with an excellent price/quality ratio. Same owner as Grand-Puy-Lacoste until the 2015 vintage, bought by the Cazes family (Lynch-Bages...) since.

Rated 93/100 by Neal Martin after bottling « This is classic "GPL". The palate is very well balanced with brine-tinged black fruit and a fine bead of acidity. It is beautifully focused with a refined, lightly spiced finish. You have to give this wine time in the glass because it really starts to "flow" after 5-10 minutes. Excellent. » (February 2020)
