Yquem 2018 n’est pas un monstre de puissance, loin de là, mais il marquera l’histoire par sa fraicheur, sa pureté, sa très grande densité et surtout son incroyable longueur. »

Second wine of Cheval Blanc. Elegant, refined in fruit and texture, the airy balance and harmony of its 2009 make this wine obvious. As the young vines that make up Le Petit Cheval age, they are gradually being integrated into the grand vin, leading to the disappearance of the second wine by 2030.

The 2019 vintage is rated 98/100 by Jean-Marc Quarin « Minutieux en entrée de bouche, aérien jusqu'au milieu, le vin se densifie peu à peu, sans perdre la minutie de sa texture. Il monte, rebondit et offre des sensations de cabernets sauvignons sur graves, dans une grande élégance. Tout est là et rien ne pèse. C'est incrachable ! » (Feb. 2022)
