Rated 93/100 by Neal Martin « The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins that render this one of the more approachable vintages in recent years. The cedar-infused black fruit is framed by fine tannins and a harmonious, graphite tinged finish. This Pontet-Canet should offer up to 20 years of drinking pleasure although it will be difficult to resist pulling the cork in its youth. » (February 2020)
Rated 95/100 by Antonio Galloni « A gorgeous, alluring Pauillac, the 2017 Pontet-Canet is racy and exceptionally polished, with floral top notes that bring out the natural brightness of the red-toned fruit. Super-silky tannins add to the wine's immediacy and sheer allure. » (March 2020)
» (Oct. 2020)

Under the direction of its owner Mr. Alfred Tesseron and its manager Mr. Jean-Michel Comme, Château Pontet-Canet has been since the early 2000s the great precursor of organic and biodynamic viticulture within the Médoc's crus classés.
To celebrate the successful achievement of their goal, the first 6 vintages certified organic from 2008 to 2013, were gathered in a special case (with screw cap) containing one bottle of each year.
For the record, Robert PARKER rated 100/100 the two vintages 2009 "a wine of irrefutable purity, laser-like precision, colossal weight and richness, and sensational freshness, this is a tour de force in winemaking" and 2010 "it is really a privilege to taste something as amazing as this wine".
