It is difficult to find a wine as world-famous as Lynch-Bages. It is true that no one else has been as consistent as he has been over the past thirty years, in his rich and opulent style. It is even said that Lynch-Bages is the Château that gave the Americans the taste of Bordeaux. Congratulations to Mr. Jean-Michel Cazes who retired in 2007 (but who is still there)!

Vineyard acquired in 2002 by Mr. Cazes (Lynch-Bages, Haut-Batailley, Ormes de Pez...). After having shown at the beginning a very southern character with exuberant and full-bodied wines, L'Ostal Cazes has since happily moved to a more nuanced style where, without losing anything in density, elegance competes with length.

Rated three stars and Favourite ♥ in the Guide Hachette 2021: "The Syrah (70%) marks the depth of this 2017 with its elegant and appealing nose evoking fresh black fruits and sweet spices enhanced by a floral touch. Fatness from the outset, an unctuous texture, melted tannins well embedded in this generous flesh, a greedy sweetness, a long sunny finish: everything is voluptuous and harmonious in this great sunny wine made with talent and good taste. Long ageing in perspective "
