We invite you to discover the progress made since 2000 by Château Giscours through its three wines:

- Haut-Médoc, produced on the 45 ha included in the Giscours estate on the edge of the Margaux appellation,
- La Sirène de Giscours, the second wine,
- Chateau Giscours, the grand vin, 3rd great classified growth of Margaux.

On the occasion of the 2015 vintage of which the Margaux appellation is considered the big winner, we have composed this case including two bottles of each of the three wines: Haut-Médoc now at its peak, La Sirène which is entering its peak phase and Chateau Giscours which we advise you to wait a few more years (2025).

Unquestionable quality/price ratio, all the more in the 2015 vintage, so successful in the southern Médoc.

The large estate, 144 ha, of Château Giscours produces a Haut-Médoc of noble origin on 45 ha on the edge of the Margaux appellation. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot, aged in barrels for 12 months, an excellent wine already seductive, with a generous bouquet (raspberry, blackberry, cedar) and well structured by elegant tannins. Unquestionable quality/price ratio.

Second wine of Giscours, La Sirène owes its success to an easy approach, gourmet and round on the fruit, quickly accessible. A Mermaid who obviously succeeded in 2015, it is difficult to resist her singing.

Back in top form since the early 2000s, the great Giscours estate has once again become one of the major Margaux growths, in its own distinctive style: very colourful, full-bodied and richly fruity for a Margaux. Its ageing ability has made its reputation as much as its always wise prices.

Rated 95/100 by the Revue du Vin de France « Le vin impose sa puissance dans un premier temps, puis termine sur des tanins veloutés » (Sept. 2021)

Rated 91/100 by Neal Martin « This is a classically styled Giscours, off-dry, a little reserved at first with a moderate spiciness coming through on the finish. It feels pinched at the moment and requires four to six years in bottle. » (Feb. 2020)

Rated 93/100 by Antonio Galloni « Medium in body, with terrific freshness and energy, the 2017 shows very well today. [...] I can't wait to see how the 2017 ages given its vibrancy and terrific sense of harmony. » (March 2020)

Rated 90/100 by Jean-Marc Quarin « Jolie entrée en bouche savoureuse et le vin se développe très bien construit, savoureux, nuancé et noble dans son grain de tanin. Bonne longueur. » (Oct. 2020)
