Futures campaign

WHAT IS A PRIMEUR CAMPAIGN?

The en primeur booking consists in buying wines that are being aged in oak barrels in the producers' cellars. Delivery takes place after bottling, i.e. 12 to 24 months later, exclusively in the original cases (wood or cardboard) of the Domaine.

This method of purchase, at source, allows the amateur:
- to have the widest possible choice from home, including for the rarest vintages,
- to choose at his convenience the bottling and crating of the wines,
- to benefit from attractive prices (except for "accidents" at wine fairs).

The early season usually begins in spring (April/May) following the harvest. However, as the "Primeurs 2019" tastings organised for journalists, wine merchants and professional buyers have been postponed due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Primeurs 2019 campaign will probably only start in June 2020.

As we have to send the different crus our bottling instructions before the end of the year, we will let you choose all possible bottling until November 1st, 2020.

We make the primeurs campaign last until the bottling which takes place during the summer of the following year (July 2021 for the 2019 vintage), i.e. 15 months later.

Each year, until July, two primeur campaigns overlap and allow you to arbitrate your choices between the qualities and price levels of two consecutive vintages (for example, the 2018 and 2019 vintages are simultaneously offered until July 2020).
