Since its acquisition in 1998 by Mr. De Neipperg (Clos de l'Oratoire, Canon-La Gaffelière, La Mondotte), d'Aiguilhe has been part of the new generation of very ambitious wines that bring the appellation of the Côtes de Castillon to a new level. It has just won a second star in the 2023 guide of the Revue du Vin de France.

Bettane & Dessauve : 91-92/100 « Ce blanc issu de sélections massales de Sancerre offre une belle chair de fruits blancs et d’agrumes. Subtil, délicat et frais, sa bouche présente ce qu’il faut de rondeur en attaque et une bouche qui possède une longueur marquée par une touche saline. »

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 90-92/100 "The 2024 d'Aiguilhe offers an attractive mix of red-toned fruit, cinnamon, blood orange, new leather and rose petal. Medium in body, with vibrant freshness, d'Aiguilhe is a delight in 2024. All the elements are so nicely integrated."

Vinous (N. Martin) : 85-87/100 "The 2024 Château d'Aiguilhe, soft red berry fruit, orange pith and light mocha scents form the nose that just needs a little more delineation. The palate is rounded on the entry, very soft and fleshy in texture and a little confit-like on the finish. It just lacks grip and substance on the finish."

La Revue du Vin de France : 91-92/100  « 20 % de cabernet franc. Une belle attaque de bouche, toujours suave, un grain enrobant. Cœur de bouche un peu léger. Deux foudres ont désormais intégré l’élevage pour diminuer les sensations boisées. »
