With remarkable consistency, Potensac has been one of the most regular crus bourgeois in the northern Médoc for 30 years, proof of the know-how of the Léoville-Las Cases team (same owner). Its ability to age is always surprising, even and especially in the "early years".

Bettane & Dessauve : 90-91/100 « Un vin bien structuré, à la fois élégant et frais, doté d’un joli volume en bouche et d’un bel équilibre. »

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 89-91/100 "The Potensac is laced with hints of cedar, tobacco, dried herbs and leather. The 2024 shows good aromatic presence and fine depth, especially for the year. Clean saline notes extend the finish. As is so often the case, Potensac is an under-the-radar gem."

J-M Quarin : 89/100 « Beau rouge sombre, aux reflets noirs. Nez un peu discret, au fruité mûr. Bouche juteuse, fondante, savoureuse, un poil vive dans la persistance (plus haut pourcentage de cabernet franc et cabernet sauvignon). L'élevage le fondra. »

Vinous (N. Martin) : 86-88/100 "The 2024 Potensac was tasted twice. The first time, it came across a little green. The second tasting, at the château, was far better, with red berry fruit, incense and a touch of pencil box in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with powdery tannins, balanced with just a slight attenuation toward the finish."

La Revue du Vin de France : 91-92/100 « C’est un Potensac serré et sérieux, marqué par des cabernets (sauvignon et franc). Le vin est droit et doté d’une belle allonge et de tanins musclés qui lui garantiront un bon potentiel. À ouvrir d’ici cinq ans. »
