Although contiguous to Poujeaux, Chasse-Spleen offers another face to Moulis wines, more tannic and, in its first youth, more austere. A great Medoc classic.
Chasse-Spleen expands in 2023 with the acquisition of Brillette, 35 ha of a beautiful terroir of deep gravel in Moulis.
Vinous (A. Galloni): 88-90/100 "The 2024 Chasse-Spleen is perhaps a bit firm, but it offers very good energy and persistence. Expressive savory inflections meld into a core of plum, new leather, incense, spice, tobacco and dried herbs. This mid-weight Moulis is promising." (April 2025)
