Champagne CHARLES HEIDSIECK Brut Réserve no vintage bottle 75cl

bottle 75cl: 30,83 €bottle 75cl

In 2011, the Descours family took over this old firm (1851) in order to restore it to its 19th century glory. In less than 5 years, the bet has been won, already praised by critics: "Charles Heidsieck deserves to be considered as one of the most brilliant brands today" for Mr Bettane, "we expect a lot from this renaissance" for the Revue du Vin de France. Predominantly Chardonnay, the'Charles' style is based on elegance and above all a great freshness tempered by a long maturation (from 5 years for the Brut Réserve to 17 years for the Blanc des Millénaires 1995) in their famous crayons near Reims. On the whole range, no trace of oxidation, no rancio, only an extreme mellow and sweet finesse. Great art!

Rated 16/20 by La Revue du Vin de France on december 2016 « Sa patine, en partie apportée par les vins de réserve, confère à ce champagne une trame assagie et savoureuse. »
