Very pale, crystalline colour, aromatic notes of lemon and grapefruit, lively and delicate on the palate, Carbonnieux is by its refined style the most Medoc style of Pessac-Léognan whites.
Revue du Vin de France : 91-92/100 « Vin toujours élégant et mesuré, déjà harmonieux, ses contours sont définis avec une grande netteté, tout comme le parfum évoquant la fleur d’acacia et, subtilement, la tarte au citron meringuée. S’exprimant au fil d’une acidité brillante, la matière garde un pied léger. »
Bettane & Desseauve : 90-91/100 « Précis, net, agréable, le vin très transparent et cristallin cache son vrai corps dans ce début de vie. »
Galloni : 87-88/100 « The 2023 Carbonnieux Blanc is bright, chiseled and full of Sauvignon Blanc character. I find it a bit austere in feel, though. It lacks just that little bit of mid-palate texture that could take it to the next level. »
