Renowned for having the best terroir of the Margaux unclassified growths, La Tour de Mons is one of the rare true Margaux Crus Bourgeois at a sweet price, with a faultless regularity for more than 15 years. Bought at the end of November 2019 by the Perrodo family (Ch. Labégorce, Ch. Marquis d'Alesme).
Vinous (N. Martin) : 91-93/100 "The 2025 La Tour de Mons is very understated on the nose compared with its peers, but there is adequate freshness, with cedar-tinged black fruit and a touch of allspice. The palate is medium-bodied, with supple tannins that exert just the right amount of grip; it is well balanced, fresh and sapid, with decent length on the finish. Good potential and far better than the '24, one of the best La Tour de Mons that I have tasted."
Vinous (A. Galloni) : 91-93/100 "The 2025 La Tour de Mons is a bold, juicy Margaux. Inky dark fruit, mocha, new leather, licorice and espresso are packed into this sumptuous, bold offering from the Perrodo family. La Tour de Mons offers tons of immediacy but also has plenty of structure."
La Revue du Vin de France : 91-92/100 “Dense and well-structured, La Tour de Mons displays notes of dark fruit and spices. On the palate, it is balanced and smooth, with well-defined tannins on the finish.”
J-M Quarin : 88/100 “Moderately aromatic on the nose, with ripe fruit notes. On the palate, it is fruity, flavourful and fragrant, with a lively finish.”
