Martin): 91-93/100 "The 2025 L'Esprit de Chevalier Blanc is impressive on the nose for a Deuxième Vin, with engaging green apple, kiwi, pear drop and light stony scents that are very well defined. The palate is well balanced, with fine acidity, lovely texture, the 30% Sémillon imparting weight and umami towards the peppery finish. Not immensely long, but this is very satisfying."

Lemon confit, marzipan, white flowers and apricot fill out the layers. There's gorgeous textural depth and resonance here, a result of the warm, dry year and the heavy presence of Sémillon in the blend."

Martin) : 90-92/100 "The 2025 Virginie de Valandraud Blanc is a blend of 60% Semillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc, the inverse of last year, aged in 75% new oak and the newly introduced 25% in terracotta jars. It has a slightly reserved nose that opens with lime flower, chamomile and yellow flowers. It just needs a little coaxing. The palate is well balanced with fine balance, lovely texture thanks to the Semillon and a dab of ginger towards the finish. Very fine."

The palate is well balanced and cohesive, with fine acidity, one of the most complex whites from this Pessac-Léognan estate that I have encountered, and it lingers on the saline finish. Bravo."

Martin) : 90-92/100 "The 2025 Sémillon Sur Calcaire has a little more complexity on the nose, the limestone coming through nicely and simply offering something more memorable than some of its peers. The palate is well balanced, with bright acidity, neatly integrated oak, apricot and white peach notes that segue into a well-defined finish. This is a capable dry Sauternes that should be irresistible once in bottle."

Vinous (N. Martin) : 90/100 "The 2025 Caillou Blanc Talbot is the first vintage that will be classed as a Médoc Blanc after the change in rules. It has an attractive, quite floral bouquet, white flowers, hints of apricot and custard creams. The palate is well balanced, with a fine bead of acidity, bright and lively, a little tang on the finish, but I like how the 88% Sauvignon imparts tension, and so this is a Caillou with less exoticism. Very fine."

Vinous (N. Martin) : 92-94/100 "The 2025 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc has a well-defined nose, but perhaps like the Domaine de Chevalier Blanc, it feels bashful at this early stage. The palate is well balanced, with a peachy entry and, here, it is more expressive, with hints of mango and Clementine, just a little oak guiding the finish. Not quite up there with the outstanding '24, but close."

Vinous (A.Galloni) : 94/100 "The 2025 Blanc de Lynch-Bages is terrific. This is the first year with some Sauvignon Gris. The 2025 offers a beguiling mix of textural richness and aromatic intensity. Pear, green apple and jasmine open first, followed by light tropical overtones that lend an exotic flair. This was just bottled but is drinking very well today."

It has a vibrant nose with crisp gooseberry and Granny Smith scents, and just a touch of apricot in the background. Martin) : 93-95/100 "The 2025 Valandraud Blanc was picked between September 4 and 9, with a little more Sauvignon Gris and Semillon this year, and also more aged in terracotta amphorae (30%). This has a complex nose that is engaging, scents of white flowers, yellow plum, almond and light mango. The palate is well balanced, with a keen line of acidity, lightly spiced with a dab of stem ginger, quite linear towards the finish and a twist of lemon rind on the aftertaste, intermixed with lemon thyme. Very fine."

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 93-95/100 « The 2025 Valandraud Blanc is a rare Sauvignon Gris-driven white. Lemon peel, sage, tomato leaf, crushed rocks and slate are all dialed up. The Blanc offers a compelling mix of textural richness and varietal character. Stylistically, it has more tension and energy than the Virginie Blanc."

Vinous (N. Martin): 91-93/100 "The 2025 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc was picked from August 25 to September 6 at 38 hl/ha. It has a more backward, slightly reserved nose than I was expecting. It is keeping its cards hidden for now. The palate is well balanced, with good weight, fine density, touches of freshly sliced pear, stem ginger and lemon peel, though it feels linear and correct on the finish. Very fine, but I suspect it will reveal its true identity after bottling."

Fine tension, quite persistent in the mouth, with a brisk and focused finish, this is a delicious white Cos d'Estournel that, again, will be difficult to resist once in bottle."

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 91-93/100 "The 2025 Aile d’Argent is potent and deep. The blend is Sauvignon Blanc-based, but that is not especially evident in the early going. Citrus confit, white flowers, mint and chalk open with a bit of time in the glass. The team, led by Technical Director Jean-Emmanuel Danjoy, opted for a bit more bâtonnage to compensate for the early harvest, a choice that paid off handsomely. The 2025 is a serious Aile d’Argent for the dinner table."

Vinous (N.Martin) : 89-90/100 "The 2025 Aile d'Argent has a relatively light nose with apple blossom and Conference pear scents—it just needs a tad more vigour. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, bright and malic with green apple and gooseberry from the Sauvignon Blanc, though not long in the mouth like some other dry whites. But perfectly fine."

The palate is vibrant and fresh, with pure botrytised fruit, a keen line of acidity and a fresh, moreish finish that lingers in the mouth. Great potential here."

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 93-96/100 "The 2025 Clos Haut-Peyraguey was picked in three passes between 19 September and 7 October with 140 g/l residual sugar. This is quite pure and delineated on the nose with vanilla pod, acacia honey, French patisserie and light almond scents. The palate is well balanced with a viscous entry. The acidity here is very well judged, the pure botrytis coming through and shaping the very focused finish. Maybe not the most complex Sauternes that I tasted in what was a fecund vintage, but one of the finest Clos Haut-Peyraguey I have tasted at this early juncture."

Vinous (N. Martin) : 93-95/100 "The 2025 Clos Haut-Peyraguey is a very delicate, nuanced wine. Hints of passion fruit, crème brûlée, mint, chamomile, floral-infused honey and orange confit fill out the layers. Soft contours add to the wine's total feeling of finesse, shaping the regal mid-palate and finish."

Vinous (N. Martin) : 95-97/100 "The 2025 Coutet is a little more backward on the nose than usual, less giving. But there is wonderful purity of fruit, lemon thyme and clementine scents, touches of white flower. The palate is medium-bodied with a viscous entry, playing with Coutet's trademark thread of acidity that emanates from the limestone soils. Quite minerally and spicy on the aftertaste, this is a marvellous Barsac from the Baly family."

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 94-96/100 « The 2025 Coutet is redolent of burnt sugar, créme brulée, spice, passion fruit and candied ginger. Always quite rich texturally, Coutet blossoms beautifully on the palate with plenty of textural presence and body. It's a gorgeous wine by any measure. »

La Revue du Vin de France : 91-93/100 “An intense liqueur, with a full body and perfect length. The expression, however, seems somewhat reserved, with a hint of menthol and even aniseed that accentuates the ‘chalky’ firmness of this benchmark Barsac. There is a certain tightness that prevents one from fully grasping its character.”

There is no heaviness here, and despite the 158 g/L residual sugar, it feels light on its toes. Oh yes.”

This was cropped at 12 hl/ha between September 16 and October 9 via three tries, one just to clean the vineyard, and comprises 100% Sémillon with 175 g/l of residual sugar. It has a very nuanced bouquet that opens nicely with aeration, dried peach, pear and light waxy scents, a touch of saffron in the background. The palate is beautiful, very well balanced with pure botrytised fruit, a little almond and chamomile towards the finish with very well integrated oak. This is a really classy Sauternes that has a long future ahead."
