La Revue du Vin de France : 93-94/100 “Well-defined, this wine offers distinct aromas and a supple palate, underpinned by delicate, finely ripened fruit. The structure, taut yet without harshness, ensures a harmonious balance. The finish, characterised by a lovely savouriness, adds depth and provides a fitting conclusion to the tasting experience. A precise and promising wine.”

Vinous (N. Martin) : 92-94/100 "The 2025 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc has a well-defined nose, but perhaps like the Domaine de Chevalier Blanc, it feels bashful at this early stage. The palate is well balanced, with a peachy entry and, here, it is more expressive, with hints of mango and Clementine, just a little oak guiding the finish. Not quite up there with the outstanding '24, but close."

Bettane+Desseauve : 95-96/100 “Rock powder, incense, fine honey, green pepper and rhubarb combine to create a sensual and refined bouquet. Citrus, white fruits and gooseberries carry this stimulating tension through to a taut and elegant finish.”

J-M Quarin : 95/100 “Delicate on the palate at first, very, very aromatic in the mid-palate, the wine develops into a smooth, elegant finish with a long, delicious aftertaste.”

Vinous (N. Martin) : 93-95/100 "The 2025 Valandraud Blanc was picked between September 4 and 9, with a little more Sauvignon Gris and Semillon this year, and also more aged in terracotta amphorae (30%). This has a complex nose that is engaging, scents of white flowers, yellow plum, almond and light mango. The palate is well balanced, with a keen line of acidity, lightly spiced with a dab of stem ginger, quite linear towards the finish and a twist of lemon rind on the aftertaste, intermixed with lemon thyme. Very fine."

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 93-95/100 « The 2025 Valandraud Blanc is a rare Sauvignon Gris-driven white. Lemon peel, sage, tomato leaf, crushed rocks and slate are all dialed up. The Blanc offers a compelling mix of textural richness and varietal character. Stylistically, it has more tension and energy than the Virginie Blanc."

It unfolds with confidence, depth and substance, building to a long, powerful and fragrant finish, followed by a beautiful aftertaste. It’s simply incredible.”

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 97-99/100 "The 2025 La Mission Haut-Brion is one of my early favorites in this vintage. Aromatic and vibrant, with striking purity, the Grand Vin is magnificent. Red-toned fruit, blood orange, pomegranate, mint and cinnamon soar from the glass. Beams of supporting tannin lend energy and shape. In a word: compelling. One of the wines of the vintage."

La Revue du Vin de France : 97-98/100 “Like its neighbour Haut-Brion, La Mission is predominantly made from Merlot (62%). The wine has a slightly more full-bodied attack, which is its hallmark, but it also possesses wonderful freshness, vibrancy and great elegance. It is perfectly balanced and devilishly refined on the finish, carried by very fine-grained tannins. A very aristocratic, ‘restrained’ wine that also promises a very bright future.” 

Bettane+Desseauve : 96-97/100 “Immediately harmonious and approachable, it captures with great precision all the depth and nobility of its terroir. Brilliant!”

Vinous (N.Martin) : 94-96/100 "The 2025 La Mission Haut-Brion was picked from August 28 until September 19 at around 23 hl/ha, lower than Haut-Brion, perhaps due to higher density of planting and less competition between vines. There is less new oak, at around 59%, the same as Haut-Brion, down from around 80% in recent years. This has a perfumed bouquet, one of the most floral that I can recall, beautifully defined with black cherries, blueberry and crushed violet scents. The palate is medium-bodied with chiselled tannins, a silver thread of acidity, quite linear in style with a strict, tensile, graphite-tinged finish. Yeah, it has to play second fiddle to Haut-Brion this year, but it is still a great La Mission."

Bettane+Desseauve : 95-96/100 "Probably one of the best value-for-money wines in the Médoc this year. Very similar to Léoville in terms of style, flavour and depth, but also in the remarkable integration of its oak."

Extremely delicate on the palate, with a body that melts away instantly and a touch of great class; the wine lingers on the finish, smooth, elegant, fragrant and refined in its tannic structure. La Revue du Vin de France : 93-95/100 "True to its character, Langoa Barton captivates with its natural elegance. The wine is smooth and velvety, with subtle tannins and a supple texture. The result is a vibrant, supple wine that offers an immediate appeal without sacrificing length."

Vinous (N. Martin) : 92-94/100 "The 2025 Langoa-Barton It has a lively bouquet with the Merlot in full effect, blueberry and cassis scents, and just a background touch of peppermint. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a lovely caressing texture, very well balanced with a touch of pepperiness towards the persistent finish. What a gorgeous Langoa!"

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 91-93/100 "The 2025 Langoa-Barton is a very racy wine. Plush contours and vibrant dark red/purplish fruit are the signatures. Crushed flowers, cinnamon, red plum, blood orange and dried herbs open nicely in the glass. Floral overtones brighten the finish. This mid-weight, fruity, Merlot-driven Saint-Julien is all charm. It should drink well with minimal cellaring."

The fruit, juicy and smooth, expresses itself deliciously with notes of raspberry, cherry and blackberry. The palate, with its sustained intensity, unfolds seamlessly into a lively, sparkling finish. A wine that is both timeless and irresistibly charming.”

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 94-96/100 "The 2025 Ducru-Beaucaillou is fabulous. Vibrant red/purplish fruit, rose petal, lavender, mint and blood orange are all beautifully sculpted. The purity of the fruit is just remarkable. New oak is 100%, but lower toast levels and a more dialed-in approach here are palpable. Gorgeous floral and savory Cabernet top notes lift the finish. Superb, and one of the highlights of the year, Ducru is absolutely stunning in 2025."

Produced from extremely low yields, it displays a natural concentration and the depth that is the hallmark of this estate. The wine’s definition, the brilliance of the fruit and the aromatic freshness make this 2025 a major success. The finish, endless and aristocratic, speaks volumes about its potential.”

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 96-98/100 "The 2025 Léoville Las Cases is powerful, tightly wound and very shut down—in other words, classic Las Cases. In some recent vintages, the Grand Vin has shown somewhat softer contours, but the 2025 is really a throwback to a more muscular, classically austere style. It offers tremendous persistence and sheer power, but beyond that, the wine is pretty hard to read in the early going, certainly much more so than any of the other wines in the Delon stable. I expect this will need many years to be at its most rewarding. Based on this en primeur sample, the 2025 is a wine for readers who have actuarial tables on their side."

Vinous (N.Martin) : 96-98/100 "The 2025 Léoville Las Cases has another intense nose, quite flamboyant for Las Cases due to the warmth of the summer, with hints of pencil shavings and cigar box coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied but very concentrated. Real depth and density here, very primal, with an intense, multi-layered finish that coats the mouth. Not a subtle Las Cases, nor should it be, though I aver that it will oblige long-term ageing."

The genius, right from the first sip, lies in having mastered this warmth—thanks both to the fine gravel terroir and the winemaking process—to retain only the fruit, its purity and its freshness. This 100% Merlot offers notes of mint, blackcurrant and violet. The velvety tannins bring a smile to the face; we know this wine will be a delight even in its youth.”

La Revue du Vin de France : 94-96/100 “La Violette is remarkable for its ability to retain a zesty freshness despite the scorching heat of the vintage, thanks in particular to a carefully adapted whole-cluster vinification process and its old vines. The bouquet delights with its refinement. The palate is enveloping without heaviness, framed by polished tannins and a subtle, beneficial bitterness. ”

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 93-95/100 "The 2025 La Violette, 100% Merlot, is a dense, powerful wine. Blackberry, gravel, bittersweet chocolate, licorice and espresso are all dialed up. The 2025 possesses off-the-charts fruit richness and tannins to match. As usual, this vintage will not be released for many years, so there is plenty of time for it to come together. It is one of the wines on the Right Bank that are defined by minuscule yields. Production will be around 1,500 bottles, about a third of the normal amount."

Vinous (N. Martin) : 91-93/100 "The 2025 La Violette has a pretty nose with comely Morello cherry, cassis and violet scents that deliver the plushness that is La Violette's signature. The palate is very smooth on the entry, with rounded, velvety tannins and just about sufficient countervailing acidity. There is a little headiness on the finish, where I would just like to see a little more grip. Just a little warmth here, yet still an enjoyable Pomerol for those seeking hedonism."

The velvety texture, enhanced by the 45% Cabernet Franc and 15% Sauvignon Blanc, is silky and gives way to a rich minerality, which blends harmoniously and smoothly.” 

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 94-96/100 "The 2025 Canon La Gaffelière is bright and beautifully focused right out of the gate. Orange peel, sage, mint, pipe tobacco, dried flowers and mocha soar out of the glass. Floral aromatics and brisk saline notes are the signatures in a tightly wound Canon La Gaffelière that is going to need a number of years to be at its most expressive. I especially admire the energy here."

Vinous (N. Martin): 91-93/100 "The 2025 Canon La Gaffelière includes only 40% Merlot this year, the remainder, 45% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, picked between September 16 and 19. Matured in 30% new oak barrels, this has a tightly wound nose with blackberry, briar and chalky scents, the Cabernet Franc imparting light graphite scents. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins on the entry. licorice-tinged black fruit, again, a little chalky in texture, but there is more suppleness compared to the Clos de l'Oratoire on the finish. Promising."

Full-bodied on the attack, smooth on the mid-palate, and very fresh as well, with a rich texture; the wine melts on the palate starting from the mid-palate. It finishes long and flavorful, with a juicy, slightly firm but well-rounded finish.”

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 96-98/100 "The 2025 Clos Fourtet is elegant, polished and super refined. Bracing mineral notes cut through a core of dark red and blue-toned fruit. Spice, mocha, new leather and licorice all meld together. Seamless and profoundly elegant, the 2025 impresses with its sensual personality, soft contours and magnificent balance. Time in the glass brings out touches of blood orange and white pepper that lend explosive brilliance through to the gorgeous, sustained finish.[...] The 2025 is positively stellar. Tasted two times. Grand Vin."

La Revue du Vin de France : 94-97/100 “Clos Fourtet stands out for its particularly elegant bouquet – a basket of black fruits – and a hint of mineral notes. A wine full of harmony and energy. The velvety tannins complement its enveloping texture.”

Vinous (N. Martin) : 94-96/100 "The 2025 Clos Fourtet [...] has a bright nose, a mélange of red and black fruit, orange rind and touches of crushed stone emanating from the limestone. The palate is medium-bodied, with succulent ripe tannins, leaning more towards red fruit on the mid-palate. Subtle touches of graphite and white pepper emerge towards the citrus-fresh finish, with commendable length, gentle grip and satisfying sustain. This is a great Clos Fourtet that should age well in bottle."

J-M Quarin: 98/100 “A deep, intense red colour with black highlights. A very aromatic and refined nose. Hints of blackberries, raspberries and violets. This floral character intensifies when the glass is swirled. Meticulous on the attack, particularly flavourful on the palate, with its classic grace on the palate, the wine melts away, flooding the palate with fruit. Very slowly, it builds towards a long, fragrant and succulent finish. It’s superb!”

Vinous (N. Martin): 96-98/100 “The Cabernet components shape the aromatics at the moment, with a mixture of blackberry and wild strawberry fruit, touches of tobacco and dark powdered chocolate, all very precise and, if anything, remarkably understated considering the warmth of that summer. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine, slightly granular tannins. Darker fruit than normal, nicely structured, linear and correct, this is a Figeac that veers towards the more elegant side in Saint-Émilion. Just a touch of bitterness on the finish neatly counterbalances the contained opulence. If it ends up at the top of my banded score, I would not be surprised."

Vinous (A. Galloni): 96-98/100 “The 2025 Figeac is a powerful, deeply structured wine. Dark-fleshed fruit, mocha, incense, scorched earth, tobacco and grilled herbs soar across the palate in a towering Figeac of the highest level. All the elements are so well balanced. A season marked by very gradual ripening yielded an especially aromatic, perfumed Grand Vin.”

La Revue du Vin de France : 96-98/100 “Figeac 2025 is a quiet force. It surprises with its delicacy, harmony and class, reminding us that the Cabernets are outstanding this year (here, 62% of the blend). The modest 13% ABV highlights elements of rare integration.”

Bettane+Desseauve : 98/100 "Blended in equal parts from Cabernet Franc and Merlot, this Angélus is a true masterpiece. With brilliant tannins, peppery floral notes, pure fruit and an ethereal finish, it is a moving, great wine."

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 95-97+/100 "The 2025 Angélus is a superb contemporary Grand Vin. Aromatic, vibrant and wonderfully fresh, the 2025 dazzles from start to finish. Blood orange, mint, white pepper, rose petal and chalk weave through layers of vibrant red-toned fruit. Here, too, the Grand Vin impresses with its noble purity and understated grace. "

Vinous (N. Martin) : 95-97/100 "The bouquet opens with blackberry, raspberry, light cassis scents and a touch of iodine, well defined, the oak seated politely in the background. The palate is silky smooth with filigree tannins, very well judged acidity plus palpable underlying sapid notes that come through towards the finish. Fine tension, very focused with a very persistent aftertaste, this is an Angélus with great potential and it should give 25 to 30 years' drinking pleasure."

La Revue du Vin de France : 96-98/100 "Ausone makes the most of its limestone terroir, delivering a depth and a level of finesse that are rare. With 65% Cabernet Franc, the tannins are perfectly delicate, with a remarkable length reminiscent of elderflower. As the 2025 vintage has yielded a single label, the second wine, Chapelle d’Ausone, will not be produced this year.”

Vinous (N. Martin) : 96-98/100 "The 2025 Ausone represents the entirety of the vineyard this year after trial blends convinced the Vauthiers not to make a Chapelle d’Ausone. There is also 5% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend for the first time. Almost immediately, I noticed how that soupçon of Cabernet Sauvignon tilts the style of the Grand Vin in a different and, to my mind, positive direction. Beautifully defined, a little more sapid, perhaps just a tad less precocious than usual, there is a sense of classicism in this Ausone that I admire, terroir over growing season perhaps? The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, real depth, silky smooth, with layers of blackberry and raspberry fruit and hints of white pepper and clove. Very long, with a peacock's tail on the finish, this is a fascinating and alluring Ausone that will age with style."

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 95-97/100 "The 2025 Ausone is powerful, dense and packed to the core. Readers will have to be patient with the 2025, as it is quite reticent. Time in the glass brings out hints of blood orange, rose petal, mint and raspberry jam. It will be fascinating to see how the 2025 ages."
