This classified growth, owned by INRA, has grown considerably since the Institute's researchers decided to apply the results of their most advanced research to it, and the arrival of Mr Derenoncourt as an advisor. In a rather lively and tense style, Couhins is today by its price the best deal among the white classified growths of Pessac-Léognan.

Bettane+Desseauve : 91-92/100 “With a focus on minerality and chalky notes, it reveals a ripe Sauvignon Blanc with smoky and apricot-like hints. The full-bodied and lingering palate achieves remarkable balance thanks to a lively and dynamic finish.”

La Revue du Vin de France : 90-91/100 “A delicate wine, this one emphasises freshness and a subtle floral character. On the palate, it is light and crisp, offering a sense of purity but lacking a little in length. Best enjoyed whilst young for its vibrancy and finesse.”
