Nénin is like Léoville-Las Cases (same owner): a great wine, straight, tight, with a lot of length and always excellent ageing potential. In great shape in the last vintages, as Bettane&Desseauve underlines "In constant progress for its structural and aromatic precision, it is now in the court of the greatest".
Bettane+Desseauve : 95/100 “Between the generosity of 2022 and the tension of 2019, it reveals itself to be deep and precise, with an ethereal, floral and highly refined finish, striking a balance between structure and a silky texture.”
J-M Quarin : 95/100 “It develops complex aromas when swirled in the glass. On the palate, it is a marvel of delicacy and balance, with a silky texture, a smooth body and intense flavour. Everything comes together perfectly, making it hard to spit out. A rare treat from Nenin.”
La Revue du Vin de France : 93-96/100 “Nénin 2025 is a great success; the wine is harmonious. The 38% Cabernet brings out long-lasting tannins, reminiscent of the Médoc, and gives the wine structure with grace and harmony. The finish is rich, with a rare aromatic precision.”
Vinous (A. Galloni) : 90-93/100 "The 2025 Nenin is packed with dark blue/purplish fruit, lavender, mocha, cloves, new leather, and incense. Rich and voluptuous in the glass, the 2025 is all charm. This is a pretty extroverted vintage for Nenin, but all the elements are nicely balanced. Soft contours frame the long, juicy finish."
Vinous (N. Martin) : 90-92/100 "The 2025 Nenin has quite a potent nose for a Deuxième Vin, with black plum, hints of star anise and white pepper. This has much more delineation than the Fugue. The palate is medium-bodied with quite succulent ripe blackberry, strawberry and citrus notes, a little chewy on the mid-palate, modest length, although not the most complex Nénin that I have tasted on the finish. But a decent, solid Pomerol nonetheless."
