Doisy-Daëne may never be the sweetest wine in its sector, but its expression and aromatic refinement are unrivalled. A pure Barsac, brilliantly orchestrated by Denis Dubourdieu until 2016. The 2014 vintage was rated 94-96/100 by the Revue du Vin de France « with pure fruit and generous liquor, it is balanced by the finesse and minerality of the soil »; 96/100 for the 2016 vintage « sparkling, crystal-clear fruit, the pure character of the Barsac terroir ».
Neal Martin : 93+/100 « Le Doisy-Daëne 2014 présente un nez séduisant de fruits miellés teintés d'essence, de fleur d'oranger et de résine de cire. Comme ses pairs, il a quelque chose d'un peu germanique. La bouche est très bien équilibrée avec une entrée en matière pure. L'acidité tranche le fruit botrytisé, avec des touches de pêche et de gingembre en fin de bouche. Très bon. »

The 2021 vintage is rated 90-92/100 by Neal Martin " Clos Floridène white 2021 offers an attractive, well-defined and utterly floral bouquet of bright citrus fruits complemented by white flowers. The palate is very well balanced, with excellent distinction and good tension. A tangy hint of lemon lends energy to the finish. Quite simply a delicious dry white Bordeaux." (April 2022)
