With single vineyard selections, an increased percentage of Pinot Noir and partial barrel ageing, the entire range is remarkable, from the magnificent “petite” cuvée Réserve Perpétuelle or the Grande cuvée 1522 (from historic grand cru plots in Aÿ) to the famous Clos des Goisses, a 5.5-hectare single vineyard and the house's flagship wine. All cuvées are either non-dosage (0 g/l) or extra-brut (4 g/l).
The “Blanc de noirs”2016 vintage in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (December 2022): 94/100 “This 2016 wonderfully illustrates the vinosity and refinement that pinot noir can take on. A character playing between subtle oxidation and fruit brightness. The irresistibly creamy bubbles take it to a depth full of flavor.”

The “Blanc de noirs”2019 vintage in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2026) : 94/100 Coup de ♥
Vinous (A.Galloni - April 2025): 94/100 "The 2019 Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs is another gorgeous wine this range from Philipponnat. Power and energy meld together in a wine of striking presence. Most of the malolactic fermentation (70%) was blocked, wich contributed palpable tension throughout. Kirsh, white flowers, mint, white pepper and chalk build into the vibrant, saline-drenched finish. This is a stellar showing. Dosage is 4.5 grams per liter."

The “Blanc de noirs”2018 vintage in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2025): 92/100 “The extra-brut blanc de noirs, on a 2018 base, shows itself well-balanced, with the comfortable texture of this warm year, a lovely acidulous aroma and a palate that remains slender.”
Vinous (A. Galloni - March 2024): 91/100 “The 2018 Extra-Brut Blanc de Noirs is an understated wine, as so many Champagnes are in 2018. This is an especially brisk, floral style of Blanc de Noirs, the result of a choice of villages (Avenay-Val-d'Or, Mareuil, Mailly, Vertus? Ecueil), The decision to partially block the malolactic fermentation and dosage that is on the low side. Grapefruit, white flowers, mint, chalk and dried herbs are all finelly cut."

The 2018 vintage in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2026) : 94/100 "The 2018 1522 cuvée reveals its full potential: the flesh has gained in complexity, and the whole is rich but balanced, with a refined structure."
Vinous (A. Galloni - April 2025) : 93/100 "The 2018 Extra Brut 1522 is a blend of 72% Pinot Noir from Aÿ and 28% from Oger. Ample and resonant in the glass, the 2018 is a wine of notable stature. Pinot is very much front and center in both the wine's flavor profile and structural feel. Red plum, kirsch, spice, chamomile, leather and dried flowers build into the huge, palate-staining finish. Dosage is 4.5 grams per liter. Disgorged : October 2023."

Vinous (Antonio Galloni - March 2023): 91/100 "The 2016 Extra-Brut Cuvée 1522 is a very pretty wine, especially for the vintage. Spice, dried pear, mint and chamomile are some of the notes that grace the 2016. There's lovely aromatic presence and enough mid-palate pliancy to make for highly enjoyable drinking for at least the nest handful of years. The 1522 is built on a core from Aÿ (Le Leon), plus fruit grom Verzy and Mesnil."

Cuvée "Clos des Goisses 2014" in the reviews :
La Revue du Vin de France (Décember 2024) : 95/100 « The blend of Pinot Noir (71%) and Chardonnay from this legendary clos offers a concentration of flavours and exceptional vinosity in 2014, all enhanced by a fine patina of wood. »

Galloni - March 2024): 93/100 “The 2014 Extra-Brut Clos des Goisses is aromatic, soft-spoken and quiet in demeanor. this is an especially floral, delicate Goisses with lovely floral top notes and decidedly mid-weight structure. The 2014 remains noticeably fresh and vibrant, but I just it a bit light on the mid-palate. Dosage is 4.25 grams per liter."
