Second red wine of La Mission Haut-Brion, created in 1991 and greatly improved since 2006 by the addition of the entire vineyard of La Tour Haut-Brion.
Bettane+Desseauve : 94-95/100 “Never before has this vintage seemed so deep and textured right from the outset. This Pessac-Léognan impresses with its controlled density and vibrant fruit. A great success that wine lovers will be snapping up.”
J-M Quarin : 94/100 “A wonderful aroma of raspberries cooked in a cauldron. Delicate on the palate at first, very fragrant in the mid-palate, with a subtle richness that coats the palate and a slight, pleasant austerity that lingers on the finish; this wine is a delight thanks to its complex and deep aromatic finish. Well done!”
Vinous (A. Galloni) : 92-94/100 "The 2025 La Chapelle de La Mission Haut Brion is far from an easygoing wine. A blast of red-toned fruit, brisk acids and imposing tannins are signatures of a serious wine that is going to need a few years to come into its own. The 2025 is so vivid and vibrant. I can’t wait to taste this from bottle. Very fine."
Vinous (N.Martin) : 90-92/100 "The 2025 La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion has a pretty bouquet with blackberry, wild hedgerow, light touches of mint and cedar. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, fine tannins, fresh and lively, with a dab of black olive and graphite towards the structured finish. Nice grip here, just give it a couple of years to smooth its edges."
