Emblematic cru of the Médoc by its architecture as well as by the delicacy of its wines, internationally sought-after. Beychevelle has taken another step up in finesse and aromatic precision with the commissioning in 2018 of its new vat room, and is now on first-name terms with the commune's second growths.
La Revue du Vin de France : 96-97/100 “The estate confirms its excellent form with a superb 2025 vintage. Concentrated, smooth and powerful, it captivates with its refined texture and velvety mouthfeel. Its remarkable length lingers in a wine of great brilliance, destined for fine development.”
Vinous (A. Galloni) : 95-97/100 "The 2025 Beychevelle is a very sexy wine. Plush and exuberant, the 2025 is seriously impressive right out of the gate. Blackberry, lavender, mocha, crème de cassis and a kick of French oak are all beautifully amplified in the glass. [...]More than anything else, the 2025 is a wine of extreme pleasure. It is an exceptional Beychevelle, one of the finest in recent memory."
Vinous (N. Martin) : 95-97/100 "Very fine definition, a Beychevelle that leans on the more opulent side aromatically, though always controlled. The palate is medium-bodied with a velvety smooth entry that lends it sensuality. Extremely precise, exquisite pure fruit, quite mineral-driven with a very long, quite sensual finish. I don't think Philippe Blanc has overseen a Beychevelle as good as this."
Bettane+Desseauve : 95-96/100 “Refined and harmonious, with great distinction, even if it now appears slightly less assertive than in some of the great recent vintages.”
J-M Quarin : 94/100 “Delicate on the palate, smooth in the mid-palate, with a refined texture and flavour, and a touch of softness; the wine makes up for this on the finish, where it lingers with notes of black fruit, blackberries and liquorice. Good length.”
