The late Mr. Durantou's confidential Pomerol, made from a 0.6-acre parcel belonging to L'Église-Clinet. Its very high proportion of Merlot (90%) and sandier terroir give it a softer profile and an almost immediate charm. More rapidly accessible, without excessive stature, with crisp fruit and fine ageing, La Petite Église is a fine entry into the Durantou universe.

More than a second wine, it's certainly one of the appellation's best value for money.

La Revue du Vin de France : 92-93/100 “This tender-hearted Pomerol has not been affected by the vintage, offering velvety tannins, hints of blackberries, with touches of dried herbs and lavender, and delicate tannins.”

Vinous (A. Galloni) : 91-93/100 "The 2025 La Petite Eglise is a very pretty, open-knit second wine. It offers fine persistence and balance. I find it just a touch light texturally, perhaps because this vintage includes a bit of fruit from relatively young vines. The 2025 might not quite have the depth or complexity of the very best years, but it comes close. Best of all, it will drink beautifully on release."

J-M Quarin : 91/100 "A hint of citrus. Full-bodied on the attack, juicy on the palate, with a delicate texture and plenty of charm, the wine lingers on the finish with notes of liquorice and hints of black fruit."

Vinous (N. Martin) : 90-92/100 "The 2025 La Petite Eglise [...] has a clean and pure bouquet with blackberry, briary and light red berry fruit. The palate has very malleable tannins, caressing and harmonious, with black pepper and bay leaf towards the finish and a sense of completeness. The aromatics just need to click into fifth gear, which they undoubtedly will by the time of bottling."
