Second wine of Angelus, made in the same luxurious and distinguished style that has made the reputation and international success of this wine.
J-M Quarin : 95/100 “A hint of truffle. Full-bodied on the palate, very, very flavourful in the mid-palate, with a lovely texture and a build-up of flavour between the mid-palate and the finish; the wine finishes long, powerful and deep. It is superb in terms of energy and richness.”
Bettane+Desseauve : 93-94/100 “Full-bodied and velvety, the superb palate offers structure, balance and a delicately peppery finish.”
Vinous (A. Galloni) : 91-93/100 "The 2025 Le Carillon d'Angélus is another gorgeous wine from the De Bouärd family. Dark-fleshed fruit, leather, incense and licorice convey somber intensity. This is far from an easygoing wine. Readers should plan on cellaring this for at least a few years, as it is quite potent in the early going. Gravel and lavender develop toward the long, beautifully resonant finish."
Vinous (N. Martin) : 91-93/100 "The 2025 Le Carillon d'Angélus is raised in 50% new oak, 25% used barrel and 25% in stainless-steel vat. It has a well-defined and focused bouquet with blackberry, blueberry, light oyster shell/estuarine scents that lend another dimension (these were accentuated by the thinner Riedel glass that I requested). The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, well balanced, a tad more tension than the No. 3, with more depth on the finish. Gentle grip, quite linear in style, but there is satisfying persistency on the finish. Very fine."
