Ultra-confidential white wine from Cos d'Estournel, with a predominance of Sauvignon Blanc (75%) on a terroir located at the northern tip of the Médoc. The proximity of the Gironde estuary and the Atlantic Ocean gives the wine its freshness, its mineral notes and its marine accents.

As the Revue du Vin de France pointed out during the Primeurs tastings, the 2021 vintage is "one of the most accomplished in its history".

The 2021 vintage is rated 95/100 by Antonio Galloni “The 2021 Cos d'Estournel Blanc is a big wine—rich, dramatic and expressive. Low yields in 2021 created a white that is deep, layered and quite potent in feel. Tangerine peel, citrus confit, marzipan and a touch of new oak give the 2021 a decidedly flamboyant, extroverted personality.” (Dec. 2023)
Also rated 92/100 by Neal Martin “The palate is well-balanced with fine poise. This clearly has more tension and mineralité compared to the Pagodes Blanc, with a crisper finish. This is a successful white Cos d'Estournel that should age well in bottle, but one should afford it time for the aromatics to fully open.” (Nov. 2023)

Located at the northern tip of the Médoc, the vineyard of Château La Goulée was abandoned in 2007 when Cos d'Estournel acquired it. The aim was to produce an intensely flavoursome, tasty and charming wine thanks to an almost (90%) pure Merlot grape variety.

The contract was perfectly fulfilled with this magnificent 2019, a real delicacy rated 92/100 by M. Galloni (Vinous).

The 2020 vintage is rated 93/100 by Jean-Marc Quarin "Dark, intense, young colour. Medium aromatic nose with ripe fruit. Smooth on the palate, very aromatic in the middle, with a full, fleshy body, the wine glides across the palate, long and sappy. The sensations delivered accelerate in the last third of the palate. It's long and very good" (September 2023).

Previously settled on firm tannins that made them stark in their youth, Cos Labory's wines have for the last ten years changed in style, becoming more pleasant and gaining in depth and refinement (its vineyard is adjacent to those of Lafite-Rothschild and Cos d'Estournel).

The Audoy family having sold its vineyard to the neighboring Cos d'Estournel at the beginning of 2023, a new era begins at Cos Labory.

(December 2022)

The 2016 vintage is rated 98/100 by J-M Quarin "The best ever! Dark, intense, purple and beautiful colour. Intense, fine nose with ripe fruit. Powerful. Soft on the attack, then dense and melting, with class in the touch, the wine glides between the middle and the finish, ascending in its unfolding, complex and long. It has a lot of energy, and a lot of flavour too". (August 2019)
