bottle 75cl: 25,83 €bottle 75cl

This 17-hectare vineyard, located in the extension of Troplong-Mondot, forms a magnificent south-facing amphitheater. Under the guidance of Hélène Garcin (Poésia, Clos l'Église) and her husband Patrice Lévêque, Barde-Haut offers vintage after vintage intense, rich and opulent wines, without ever falling into the trap of over-ripeness.

Garcin property (Barde-Haut, Poesia), 5.9 ha ideally located on the Pomerol plateau (between Clinet and L'Église-Clinet). Clos L'Église has been returning since 2011 to a more harmonious, melting and tasty version, similar to the style of La Conseillante.

2017 vintage rated 93/100 by Neal Martin "There is a lovely marine influence here. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip, fine weight in the mouth, fresh and saline with a touch of bitter cherry on the finish. Classic in style, this is quite a cerebral Pomerol for the vintage and I suspect it will age with style. Excellent". (Feb. 2020)

(Oct. 2020)

2018 rated 94/100 by Neal Martin « Complex on the finish, this lingers in the mouth and its salinity beckons you to take another sip. Superb. ». (June 2022)

2017 vintage rated 95/100 by Antonio Galloni "Plum, black cherry, chocolate, spice, new leather and licorice are all amped up in this luscious, voluptuous, flamboyantly ripe Saint-Émilion. Plush contours add to the considerable appeal of a wine that finishes with terrific energy, brightness and power". (March 2020)

2017 vintage rated 90/100 by Jean-Marc Quarin "Moelleux à l'attaque, fondant en milieu de bouche, très appétent, ce vin s'étire dense et profond, avec une touche calcaire dans la persistance. C'est long et très bon". (Oct. 2020)
