A great wine that should be kept for at least 6 to 8 years.

The 2016 vintage in the press:

En Magnum (May 2025): 94/100 "This is the first vintage where the wine is fined with egg white. Still very young and brilliant, intense and energetic on the palate. It will soon be in the same league as the excellent 2010."

The 2023 vintage in the press:

J-M Quarin (March 2026): 88/100Beautiful dark red. Moderately intense nose, with pure, precise fruitiness. Delicate on the palate, flavorful in the middle, the wine caresses the palate, pleasant and mellow. The whole thing goes down easily.”

The 2022 vintage in the press:

La Revue du Vin de France (2026 Guide): 90/100 "A superb classic Fronsac at a reasonable price. In this vein, Haut-Carles is for those looking for something more: more compact and less refined, it is more demonstrative and opulent. It would be good to wait a year or two."

    Bettane + Desseauve (Guide 2026) : 94/100
