Catalog Autumn-Winter 2023/2024
2023/2024

Until August 2012, only the cultivation of grapes was certified organic (free of synthetic products) after a 3-year conversion period. Since then, from the 2012 vintage onwards, the sulphur dioxide content of wines has also been monitored in order to obtain the European label Vin bio certifié.
Only wines that are certified organic and display the European label on their labels are marked as such on our website.

Other labels exist (Demeter, Biodyvin, Nature et Progrès...). These have more demanding specifications than organic farming but are not recognised by public agencies.

The 2019 vintage in the press:

Vinous (N. Martin - January 2023): 93/100 “The 2019 Canon-La-Gaffelière is quite punchy and bold on the nose. Blackberry and raspberry fruit, cedar and mint emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded tannins, quite plush yet cohesive, fanning out towards the velvety finish with a brush of white pepper on the aftertaste. One of the more approachable Saint-Emilion wines in this vintage”.

La Revue du Vin de France (September 2022): 95/100 “The discreet charm of this wine with its creamy tannins is exciting. The cru reveals itself at its best in dry, hot years thanks to the composition of its clays. The southern exposure is reflected in the wine's depth. Its pronounced black fruit is densely packed with tannin that remains fresh thanks to the Cabernet Franc massales. Still under the influence of wood, the wine's rich, well-coated texture and elegant structure are perfumed with a hint of smoke".

The 2018 vintage in the press:

The 2021 vintage in the press:

La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2025): 94/100 “A stylish, elegant 2021. It combines the breed of the terroir, the freshness of the vintage and the seductive touch of the winemaker”.

Vinous (A. Galloni - December 2023): 95/100 “The 2021 La Mondotte is a dense, potent beauty, with depths of black vherry, plum, gravel, scorched earth, leather, lavender and incense. In 2021, Mondotte is quite savory and brooding, a style with freshness and less opulence than most years. It's alos a wine that needs time. I imagine the 2021 will always be a pretty dark Saint-Emilion.”

The 2016 vintage in the press:

Vinous (N. Martin - January 2020): 92/100 "The 2016 La Mondotte is open and generous on a nose intense black cherries, boysenberry, tobacco and cedar. With aeration, this becomes more refined and loses its initial boisterousness. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity and plenty of sumptuousness, although I find it a little curt and abrupt on the finish, where I am seeking more persistence."

Isabelle and Denis Pommier started in 1990 with only 2 ha. They have made gradual progress, both in the constitution of their vineyards (now 16 ha) and in their cultivation practices (tillage, disbudding, certified organic from the 2014 vintage). Their wines, vinified and aged for a long time in oak barrels for Croix aux Moines and the 1st crus, have a richness and amplitude that contrast with the usual extreme vivacity of the Chablis.

According to the Bettane & Desseauve 2025 guide, “perhaps the most spectacular growth in the Chablis region over the last fifteen years”.

Quoted in the guide of the Revue du Vin de France.

The 2022 vintage in the press:

Bettane+Desseauve (Guide 2024) "This estate continues to delight us with vintages of unrivalled concentration and density. From a very special terroir, the Hauterivien, the Petit Chablis is without doubt the best in the appellation".

La Revue du Vin de France (July 2024) : 90/100If iodine strongly marks the first nose, the aromatic expression of ripe fruit (white peach) is not to be outdone. This translates into a voluminous body with the sensation of sweet fruit. Greedy and salty”.

The palate is taut, fresh and lively with fine acidity, boasting ample weight toward the finish. This is quite a suave Chablis that should develop well in bottle.”

Vinous (N.Martin - August 2024): 91/100 “The 2022 Chablis Croix Aux Moines has a more austere bouquet, unfolding nicely with aeration to reveal finely delineated scents of wet pavement and sea spray. Vinous (N. Martin - November 2022): 90-92/100 "The 2021 Marsannay Les Longeroies suffered a difficult élevage up until the malo. It has a very perfumed and poised bouquet, mineral-driven like the Clos du Roy, the 50% stems are beautifully assimilated. The palate has more body than the Clos du Roy, grippy and quite firm in structure, blackberry and touches of blueberry towards the finish."

As a major player in the Marsannay appellation, Domaine Fournier gives wine lovers the rare opportunity to acquire great Pinots from the northern part of the Côte de Nuits at a reasonable price. With 21 hectares, 17 of which are in Marsannay, this estate produces enthusiastic, deep-coloured, fleshy and intense wines, always on the edge between richness and freshness, delicacy and finesse.

Rated one star in the Revue du Vin de France guide, and one of the properties to watch in the Bettane & Desseauve guide: “Laurent Fournier, with his humor, intelligence and delicacy, is one of the most brilliant talents of the new Burgundy generation”.

Trois Terres is a selection of old vines from its three best parcels in Marsannay: Es Chezots, Longeroies and Clos du Roy (all candidates for future 1er cru status).

The 2022 vintage in the press:

Bourgogne Aujourd'hui (August 2023): 17/20 “Black fruit nose, dominated by blackcurrant. Full-bodied on the palate, with firm but ... tannins”.

Vinous (N. Martin - October 2023): 88-90/100 “The 2022 Marsannay Trois Terres Vieilles Vignes has discrete touches of fish scale and black olive on the nose, married neatly with the black fruit. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet entry. Touches of fig and dates tincture the black fruit. Was this picked just a day or two later than optimal? It feels too sweet for my liking and compared to the previous vintage."

La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2025): 94/100 “A major expression of Marsannay: intense, vertical and streamlined, it will go far and spreads contagious energy.”

Vinous (N. Martin - November 2022): 90-92/100 "The 2021 Marsannay Trois Terres Vieilles Vignes needs quite a bit of coaxing on the nose. Liquorice-tinged dark berry fruit mixed with white pepper.  The palate is medium-bodied with grainy, slightly chalky tannins, fresh and quite saline with an elegant finish. This Marsannay meliorates upon acquaintance."

It has a light blackberry, tobacco, and pencil box nose that gradually opens in the glass but remains a bit aloof. The medium-bodied palate has a sweet entry, offering pastille-like black cherries and cassis with a light, slightly simplisitic finsih. Fine, easy-drinking Gervey."

The 2021 vintage in the press:

Vinous (N. Martin - March 2022): 91/100 "From the lieux-dits of Clos Prieur and Creux Brouillard, the 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a superb nose, the whole bunch (50%) completely subsumed, more so than the Fixin. The palate is medium-bodied with brown spices and dark chocolate on the entry, fine depth, good acidity with a gentle but insistent grip on the finish. This is a very impressive Village Cru from Laurent Fournier."
