Like Pétrus, Le Pin is 100% Merlot. But if Pétrus has adopted a more classic style in recent years, Le Pin remains a hedonistic wine, often exuberant, sometimes even exotic. And unlike Pétrus, Le Pin is much rarer (500 cases per year).

In 2010, the arrival of Lauriane André (Françoise's daughter-in-law) breathed new life into the family estate: 7.5 hectares around the famous Corton hill. This young winemaker had very clear ideas: conversion to biodynamic viticulture(acquired in 2012), limited yields, careful sorting of grapes, no yeasting, moderate use of new barrels (30% maximum). The results are already there, with the magazine Bourgogne Aujourd'hui nominating her as one of the 5 hopefuls of 2013, stating that " her wines are already among the best that the Côte de Beaune has to offer ". It has to be said that her role models are Patrick Bize and Jean-François Coche-Dury...

Built like a "small" Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this Gigondas is just as velvety, just as fruity, but slightly softer. Very strong majority of grenache (vines aged from 60 to more than 100 years), completed with syrah and mourvèdre.
This old estate (14th century) of Châteauneuf-du-Pape was bought in 2006 by Mr. Cazes (Lynch-Bages, Haut-Batailley, Ormes de Pez...). With 25 hectares (60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Mourvèdre), in two excellent sectors (La Nerthe and Rayas), and by voluntarily limiting the yields to 30hl/ha, Mr. Cazes strives to produce only one vintage in red as well as in white, Châteauneufs that are accessible both on the gustatory and financial levels.
The white is fine, airy, without excess generosity, with a beautiful energy brought by the clairette (30%). The red is a classic Châteauneuf, refined and silky, also focusing more on finesse and aromatic intensity than on power, in the spirit of Rayas.

With 7 hectares spread over 28 plots held like gardens, Guillaume Sorbe is an outstanding goldsmith. On its two appellations Quincy and Reuilly in the Cher valley, it chisels fantastic wines, white (sauvignon) and red (pinot noir), esthetic wines that are both tasty and mineral, fat and tense. His excellence is already recognized: "Winemaker of the year 2018" for the Revue du Vin de France, and cited in the Top 10 of the best producers in the Bettane&Desseauve 2019 guide. In order to avoid the regulatory constraints of the INAO, Guillaume Sorbe now prefers to label his wines under the generic name "Vin de France". This does not change anything about their origin or their quality. The comment of the Revue du Vin France is eloquent: "No wine in the sector reaches this level of precision and substance. They are among the most ambitious whites in the Loire Valley."
