All bottles, all names and all formats combined, can be mixed even by unit, freely and free of charge.

Even if they have exceptional ageing potential, we recommend tasting Sauternes from their earliest youth.
They do not have tannic astringency and their aromatic complexity is therefore fabulous!

"Save water, drink wine !"

"Champagne! Because no great story started over a bowl of salad."

"I just saved some wine. It was caught in a bottle."

"To know the origin and quality of a wine, there's no need to drink the whole barrel." Oscar Wilde (Moderation Advice)

"Good wine is too expensive and bad wine is too bad." Jack Rollan

"A glass of wine is good for your health. The rest of the bottle is good for mental health!"

Catalog Spring-Summer
2020

Until August 2012, only the cultivation of grapes was certified organic (free of synthetic products) after a 3-year conversion period. Since then, from the 2012 vintage onwards, the sulphur dioxide content of wines has also been monitored in order to obtain the European label Vin bio certifié.
Only wines that are certified organic and display the European label on their labels are marked as such on our website.

Other labels exist (Demeter, Biodyvin, Nature et Progrès...). These have more demanding specifications than organic farming but are not recognised by public agencies.

In 2010, the arrival of Laurianne André (Françoise's daughter-in-law) gave a new impetus to the family estate: 7.5 hectares around the famous Corton hill. This young winegrower had some very strong ideas: conversion to biodynamics (acquired from 2012), yield limitation, careful sorting of the grapes, no yeasting, moderate use of new barrels (30% maxi). The results are already there, Burgundy Today having nominated her among the 5 hopes for 2013, specifying "her wines are already among the best that the Côte de Beaune can offer". It must be said that his models are Patrick Bize and Jean-François Coche-Dury...

It is in Bouzeron (the first village in the south of the Côte de Beaune) that Aubert de Villaine, emblematic co-owner and manager of La Romanée-Conti, lives and works as a winegrower in his estate acquired in 1971. Assisted since 2003 by his nephew Pierre de Benoist, he practices the same high-flying viticulture as at La Romanée-Conti, combining tradition, openness, purity, rigour and organic farming (since 1986). Thank you to Mr. de Villaine for defending with the same passion the elite Burgundy and the artisan Burgundy. Domain rated one star in the 2019 Revue du Vin de France guide.
