The latest addition to the range is the cuvée Éphémère, a Blanc de Blanc Champagne (Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc), non-dosed and aged for 30 months on lees.
The son, grandson and great-grandson of winegrowers, Cédric Moussé took over the family estate in 2014 and modernised it from top to bottom. Nothing is left to chance in the quest to produce ‘better’ and ‘more’: synthetic products have been abandoned in favour of eco-grazing, electrical self-sufficiency, the use of mineral sulphur (not derived from petrochemicals), lighter bottles and paper capsules. A fervent advocate of Pinot Meunier, he offers cuvées that are always full-bodied and deep, without any softness or rusticity. As the Revue du Vin de France sums it up, ‘He cultivates the refined, careful and energetic expression of his cuvées, with a magnificent delicacy of bubbles’.
The estate's flagship cuvée, Eugène is a blend of Pinot Meunier (80%) and Pinot Noir (20%), in a vinous but not heavy style.
The cuvée “Eugène” in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2025): 90/100 “Eugène, which gives pride of place to meunier, is finely stained and offers a nose marked by notes of stone and cereals. The palate is coherent and full of energy.”
Bettane + Desseauve (Guide 2026) : 92/100

Les Vignes de mon Village, 100% pinot meunier, is proof that this grape variety, often regarded as 'rustic', can also produce elegant wines of astonishing depth.
The ‘Les Vignes de mon village’ cuvée in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2026): 91/100 Coup de ♥ "We are won over by Les Vignes de mon Village, which expresses a Meunier just as we like it: fair, precise, remaining fruity, with a beautiful length on the palate."

Les Terres d’Illite is a blend of Pinot Noir (80%) and Pinot Meunier (20%) from a plot of chalky marl rich in green clay.
The Cuvée ‘Blanc de Noirs Terre d'Illite’ vintage 2020 in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2026) : 90/100 "Terres d'Illite 2020 is rather well managed for the vintage. Some vegetal notes remain on the Pinots, but the palate embraces this profile."
Vinous (A. Galloni - March 2024): 93/100 "The 2018 Brut Blanc de Noirs Terre d'Illite is impressive. Creamy and ample on the palate, with terrific depth, the Terre d'Illite offers notable resonance. The blend of 80% Meunier and 20% Pinot Noir works so well here. Hints of kirsh, red plum, crushed flowers, spice and lightly honeyed notes all build affortlessly. This is such a gorgeous and complete Champagne."

The great cuvée Les Fortes Terres, 100% pinot meunier, is made from 4 parcels in the locality of "Les Fortes Terres", in Cuisles. Vinified exclusively in small containers and aged for 48 months, this top-of-the-range cuvée proves that pinot meunier, often wrongly regarded as rustic, can also produce elegant wines of astonishing depth.
The Cuvée ‘Les Fortes Terres’ vintage 2018 in the press:
Vinous (A. Galloni - November 2023): 92/100 "The 2018 Brut Les Fortes Terres (100% Meunier) is a bold, explosive wine that shows a notably exuberant expression of Meunier. Ripe pear, spice, flowers and mint are nicely amplified. Even with minimal dosage (0.5 grams per liter), the 2018 is on the riper side. All this needs is more mid palate persistense, but it is still very nicely done."
Since 1993, Valérie and Benoît Lahaye have been proving that a different kind of viticulture, one that respects the living world, is possible in Champagne. In their 5-hectare vineyard in Bouzy, they opted early on for organic vine management, ploughing the soil on horseback and reducing yields to promote aromatic concentration and terroir expression.
The Pinot Noir grape, which makes up the vast majority (88%) and is harvested at optimum ripeness, gives their Champagnes exceptional fruity intensity and persistence, enhanced by very low sugar and sulfur levels. The uniqueness of Benoît Lahaye's cuvées, but above all their quality and consistency, are unanimously acclaimed by the various critics: Gault & Millau named him Vigneron of the Year 2022, En Magnum considers him “one of the most gifted winemakers of his generation”, and the Revue du Vin de France has just awarded him a third star...
Made with 50% reserve wine, Brut Nature has plenty of character. A true winemaker's champagne, combining the vinous aromas of Pinot Noir with an elegant, delicate structure.
Cuvée Brut nature in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2026): 91/100 “The brut nature stands out as one of the finest non-vintage champagnes on the market — a juice of remarkable purity and expression.”
Vinous (A. Galloni - March 2024): 92/100 "The NV Brut Nature Grand Cru is a blend of 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay from Bouzy and Ambonnay. The creamy flesh of Red Delicious apples and a sense of springy, sweet, yeasty, challah bread define the nose. The sprightly mousse prickles on the smoot palate, highlighting saltiness and chalky depth with an enticing, beguiling tang of oyster shell. The finish is alluring, salty, tangy and long with a visceral umami echo."

In 2011, the Descours family took over this old House (1851) with the aim of restoring it to its 19th century glory. The gamble paid off, and was widely acclaimed by the critics: "Charles Heidsieck richly deserves to be considered one of today's most brilliant brands" for Mr Bettane, "Heidsieck is back in the limelight with a complete range of top-class wines" for the Revue du Vin de France.
Predominantly Chardonnay, the 'Charles' style is based on elegance and, above all, great freshness tempered by long maturation (from 5 years for the Brut Réserve to 15 years for the Blanc des Millénaires) in their famous chalk pits near Reims. Throughout the range, there's no trace of oxidation, no rancio, just an extreme smoothness. Great art!
Company rated two stars in the Revue du Vin de France's annual guide.
The “Brut Réserve” cuvée in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2026): 91/100 “The Brut Réserve continues to shine with its complexity, carried by the richness of the reserve wines. The generous dosage remains consensual, even if a certain margin of evolution could further refine the wine's expression.”
Bettane + Desseauve (Guide 2026) : 93/100
Vinous (A.Galloni - November 2025): 89/100 “The NV Brut Réserve is a fine introduction to the range. Pear, green apple, brioche, white flowers and a touch of reduction all take shape in the glass. This mid-weight, racy Champagne is all charm.”

Pierre and Sophie Larmandier are among the precursors of biodynamic wines. On their 16 ha vineyard in the south of the Côte des Blancs, they produce champagnes of exemplary naturalness and frankness. Very low (or even no) dosage because they are made from perfectly ripe grapes, their vintages express with precision the aromatic intensity and the delicacy of the greatest chardonnays of Champagne. In short, Larmandier-Bernier obtains with its chardonnays what Égly-Ouriet achieves with its pinots noirs.

Ecueil), The decision to partially block the malolactic fermentation and dosage that is on the low side. Grapefruit, white flowers, mint, chalk and dried herbs are finely cut."

Vinous (A. Galloni - March 2024): 94/100 “The 2016 Extra Brut Les Chemins d'Avize Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is a very pretty, exotic Champagne. White flowers, mint, chalk, white pepper and crushed rocks are finely sculpted. Low dosage of 2 grams per liter adds notable tension and verve throughout This savory, super-excessive Champagne will be a fine companion at the dinner table."
Bettane + Desseauve (Guide 2026) : 94/100
This small estate, well known to the initiated, shines at the top of the Champagne hierarchy. Coming from a 31 ha vineyard, its cuvées render with finesse and purity the potential of their respective terroirs. Coming from 3 grands crus and 2 premiers crus, elaborated only from the first press juices, vinified in tuns, unfiltered and hardly dosed, the 700 cuvées are great Champagne wines offering a remarkable ageing potential. Company rated three stars in the Revue du Vin de France's annual guide.
The number corresponds to the vintage on the basis of which the cuvée is elaborated (2020 for Cuvée 748) completed with some reserve wines.
Since January 2023, the Maison Jacquesson belongs to Mr. Pinault (Latour in Bordeaux, Clos de Tart in Burgundy, Château-Grillet in the Rhône, etc.).
Cuvée “"No. 748” in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2026): 93/100 “We applaud the definition of Cuvée No. 748. This 2020 base is unaffected by the vintage, with a mouthfeel that commands respect with its volume and concentration."
Vinous (A. Galloni - April 2025): 93/100 “Jacquesson's NV Extra-Brut Cuvée No. 748, the 20th anniversary of this bottling, is gorgeous. Dried pear, crushed flowers, mint, chamomile and spice all grace the palate. The No. 748 is not quite as austere as some recent releases in this series, which means it will drink quite well right out of the gate. Floral notes lift the finish, adding precision and energy. The No. 748 is one of the most elegant and refined editions of this wine I can remember tasting."

Cuvée “"No. 747” in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (Guide 2025): Coup de ♥ 95/100 “The 747 cuvée seduces us with its depth: even in its youth, the wine displays perfect maturity, brilliance and integrity. The palate is full-bodied and distinguished, with a graceful texture and delicate bubbles. This blend will leave a lasting impression, and we are already looking forward to tasting it again in a few years' time in its late disgorgement version."
Vinous (A. Galloni - March 2024): 93/100 “The NV Extra-Brut Cuvée No. 747 (2019 base) marries textural richness with notable vibrancy. Lemon confit, mint, white pepper, tangerine peel and graphite lend energy throughout. All the elements are very nicely balanced. I especially admire the textural depth here. Spring frost was particularly damaging to the Chardonnay, so the blend is distinctly Pinot-leaning in this release. Dosage is 1.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: October 2023."

Cuvée “N° 746” in the press:
La Revue du Vin de France (December 2023): 92/100 “Patinated nose, with perceptible but integrated and elegant wood ageing, and the enveloping ripeness of its base year, 2018. The palate is vinous and digestible, with luscious length and salinity to spare. Low dosage (2 g) for a ripe, dynamic, deep and stretched ensemble [...] A complex champagne, with autumnal allure, that calls for the table."
Vinous (A. Galloni - March 2024): 91/100 “The NV Extra Brut Cuvée No. 746 (2018 base) is bright and energetic. Chardonnay drives the blend, but that is not especially evident. Kirsch, plum, spice, cedar, dried flowers and a kick of candied orange peel unfold in the glass, while tropical accents and a hint of spice linger. Best of all, the 746 will drink well upon release. The airy, lighter style is all charm. The blend is 56% Chardonnay, 24% Pinot Meunier and 20 % Pinot Noir, with 25% reserve wines. Dosage is 2 grams per liter."

Cuvée "742 DT" in the reviews:
La Revue du Vin de France (Décember 2024) : 94/100 « A 2014 base aged for... 94 months on lees! The characteristic fresh lemon note bursts forth. More lanky than thick in this vintage. A formidable allonge sculpted with great freshness and a complex patina. »
Vinous (A. Galloni - March 2024): 93/100 “The NV Extra Brut Cuvée No. 742 Dégorgement Tardif (2014 base) is another terrific wine from Jacquesson. Now at its forst plateau of maturity, this is an exotic beauty. Kirsch, ginger, spice, menthol, licorice and dried herbs build nicely. There's gorgeous depth and resonnce here. Even so, my impression is that the 742 is a wine to drink rather than cellar, and a fine choice for readers who enjoy mature Champagnes. Dosage is 0.5 grams per liter."
